Plan for the people making the move
Married; spouse and two children included in the illustrative plan.
Two adults and two children relocate only if their own requirements are met.
Household funds are kept separate from business investment and working capital.
Schooling, health coverage and housing require a practical plan alongside authorization.
Budget example: Illustrative Alberta community, 2 adults and 2 children. Housing, healthcare and practical preparation are distinct from immigration permission.
Illustrative Alberta community · 2 adults and 2 children. Compare an arrival reserve without assuming employment income.

You’re aiming for: Permanent residence through business (start, buy, or expand a business in Canada). We checked your answers against 11 requirements for your goal. Here’s what we found: 7 appear to be met, 3 may not be met and 1 needs more information.
Suggested pathways
BC Provincial Nominee Program: Entrepreneur Immigration Base stream: From what you told us, 4 of 4 requirements checked appear to be met.
Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program: Business Investor Stream, Entrepreneur Pathway: From what you told us, 3 of 3 requirements checked appear to be met.
BC Provincial Nominee Program: Entrepreneur Immigration Regional stream: From what you told us, 2 of 3 requirements checked appear to be met. We still need to confirm: Regional stream: new business in a B.C. participating community, with that community's referral after an exploratory visit.
Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program: former Entrepreneur Stream: The former Ontario Entrepreneur Stream is closed to new applicants. You reported no immigration application in progress. This result concerns that former stream only; other immigration or work routes need a separate assessment.
Deadlines and missing information
We cannot confirm the Regional stream’s community requirements from your answers. You need a referral from one of B.C.’s participating communities, given on its referral form after an exploratory visit to that community and a meeting with its Designated Contact Person; a referral is valid for 90 days from the date of issue and must be uploaded with your registration, and your business must align with one of the community’s economic development priorities. As of June 24, 2026, B.C. lists these participating communities: Mackenzie and Quesnel (Cariboo); Castlegar & Central Kootenay (Areas I & J), Columbia Valley & East Kootenay, Kimberley, Nelson & Central Kootenay (Areas E & F), Rossland and Trail (Kootenay); Bulkley-Nechako (Nechako); Dawson Creek and Fort St. John (Northeast); Penticton, Salmon Arm and Vernon (Thompson-Okanagan); and Campbell River, Comox, Mount Waddington and Powell River (Vancouver Island/Coast). B.C.’s Regional Immigration Collaboration page marks Comox as paused until August 2026 and Campbell River as paused until September 2026, so confirm the community is issuing referrals. A business outside these participating communities cannot use the Regional stream.

Balance after costs using confirmed income: CAD -24,100. Hypothetical income remains separate.
Scenario date 2026-10-26. No salary, employer reimbursement or permission to work is assumed.
Amounts are fictional Canadian-dollar planning inputs. Savings and this budget are not the legal settlement-funds requirement.
Costs are counted over 3 months, for 2 adults and 2 children.
A figure published by a body is counted once at the amount it publishes, with no allowance for an increase it has not announced.
Immigration/application fees, professional fees, health insurance, childcare and licensing/training costs are not priced here. Obtain applicable amounts before committing.
A scenario is a way of asking what something would cost, not a prediction. Nothing here promises when you will be licensed, that you will be offered a job, or what you would be paid.
This total is your own arithmetic over the figures you chose to include. No regulator or government publishes a total for a route, so a total is never theirs, and anything nobody publishes is left out of it and listed under what is still unknown.
Income you have told us is already settled, with what you hold to show it. This is the only income any total here counts.
These are figures you are trying out, not figures anybody has offered you. They are kept out of every total of what you actually have.

We checked your answers as they stood on October 26, 2026, against the rules in force then. A change announced after that day isn’t included here.
You asked us to compare British Columbia, Manitoba and Ontario, so those are the places we looked at. Other provinces and territories may have streams that fit you.

Selected scenarios use the rules and sources available at the capture date. They are conditional comparisons, not predictions or legal advice.
